Scheduled site visits are useful, but everyone knows when they’re happening. The place is swept, tools are arranged, and sometimes problems are temporarily hidden. Dropping in at random times – different days, different hours – shows you how the work really runs.
You see whether safety is being taken seriously, if materials are stored properly, and if instructions you agreed on are actually being followed. Workers also know that you could appear anytime, which naturally encourages more consistent care. It’s human nature.
You’re not there to police every step, just to stay in touch with reality. You might catch small issues before they become big ones – wrong tiles going up, incorrect heights, messy wiring. Fixing them early is much easier than redoing finished work.
It also keeps communication flowing. Quick chats on site often surface concerns or suggestions that don’t make it into formal updates.
