How can adding a tray on a coffee table turn loose items into a neat display?

Coffee tables naturally attract “stuff” – remotes, coasters, candles, books, random bits of mail. Left loose, all these things can make the table feel messy even when they’re useful.

Placing a tray on the table creates a contained zone. Put your main items inside the tray – maybe a candle, remote, small plant, and a couple of books. Instantly, it looks like a deliberate arrangement rather than clutter. Anything outside the tray becomes an obvious “extra” that you can move or tidy.

The tray also makes cleaning easier. Need to wipe the table? Lift the tray, clean, put it back. Want to clear space for snacks or a board game? Move one object instead of ten.

It’s basically a simple frame that turns everyday objects into a styled vignette.
