Why should you ask neighbours about water supply timings and pressure before deciding?

Ads usually say “24/7 water” or “good water supply,” but the lived reality can be very different. In many buildings or areas, water comes at certain times, pressure fluctuates, or overhead tanks run low more often than people admit during a quick viewing.

Neighbours, especially those who’ve lived there for a while, know the real story. They can tell you things like, “Pressure drops on upper floors in summer,” or “We often get muddy water after heavy rains,” or “Supply is fine, but timings are odd in the morning.”

Knowing this beforehand helps you decide if the inconvenience is manageable, or if you’ll constantly be annoyed. It also gives you a sense of whether you’ll need extra storage, pumps or filters – all of which cost money and effort.

Water might not be as glamourous as a nice balcony, but it affects your daily life far more.
